Cincinnati Book Arts Society

Study Group

The CBAS Study Group is a collaborative group of CBAS members who together investigate special areas of interest in the book arts, and share their knowledge with other members.  The only requirement to participate is that you be a current paid member of CBAS.

Ideally, each Study Group member will share the responsibility by taking turns presenting or collaborating to present a program and guiding the group to learn something new. It might be something you already know or something you investigate to share with the group. You do not need to be an expert – just a person willing to explore a new topic and present it to the group.

The Study Group normally meets the second Saturday of each month except December, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Studio #164, the Essex Studio, CBAS’s home base. All CBAS members receive monthly email invitations to meetings.  Check with the contact person below to confirm date and location for a particular month. The Study group fee will generally be $10 if you attend. Because we have members who live on fixed or limited incomes, we accommodate discounted fees for those members. Presenters are reimbursed for materials they provide. To ensure that enough materials are available, registration is required.

Any CBAS member is welcome to join the Study Group. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow CBAS members, to share your expertise and to learn from others.
