BOOKWORKS 2025 IS BACK! AND IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! Please read this carefully and note all details. Because we are working with an all-new cast at the Library there remain details to be confirmed. Please keep an eye out for future updates.
BOOKWORKS IS SCHEDULED TO OPEN ON TUESDAY, May 27, 2025 at the Downtown Main Library, south building, 800 Vine Street, Cincinnati. It will be installed on the first floor to the right of the Vine Street doors and will be visible from the corner windows. All the library windows have UV protection.
ENTRY FORM DUE DATE: Monday, April 21. Email 2 copies of form: one to Judith who is curating the exhibit at [email protected] and one to [email protected] so we can create case labels and include your work in the online exhibit. Include directions for display. Scroll down for entry form.
ENTRIES: Every current CBAS member may submit up to 3 works. We will not guarantee that all will be shown but at least one piece from every submitting artist will be exhibited. No hanging or wall hung work.
ENTRY FEE: No submission fee for CBAS members. Non-members can participate by becoming a member. See https://cincinnatibookarts.org/membership/join-cbas/ for membership info.
DIGITAL EXHIBIT: Before delivering your work to the library, submit 2-3 high quality close-up jpegs of each piece to [email protected]. After the exhibit closes we will post an online exhibit on the CBAS website. See https://cincinnatibookarts.org/online-exhibits/ for examples of past exhibits.
PLEASE NOTE: We have always made several days available once the show has been installed but before it opens to the public so artists can see that their pieces are displayed correctly. Take advantage of this so we don’t have disappointment once the exhibit opens. For those out of town, Judith is willing to send images of your display or FaceTime you through it. Send an email to her at [email protected] if you would like to do this.

There will be several dates to accommodate busy schedules. To be on the safe side, plan to deliver your work somewhere around May 7-9. Deliver work to the welcome desk inside the Vine Street entrance.

ARTISTS’ WALK THRU: The library will host an Artists’ Walk Thru on Sunday, July 13 at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Members with work in the exhibit are encouraged to attend and speak briefly about their exhibit pieces.
It has been quite a while since we have had this once-annual show. Feel free to submit works you have done since 2019. This will be our 20th Bookworks exhibit. Let’s bring Bookworks back in a big way!
