Saw Blades- a 3section sewing presented by Judith Serling-Sturm
Supplies needed: We will be creating a book with a 1” spine. These samples shown contain 20 sheets of copy paper per signature but since we are just learning this binding it is not necessary to use this many. We will be concentrating on the stitches. Please bring the papers as indicated below. Bring your own tools if you’d like but we do have all the needed tools in the studio.
Cover paper 5.5”H x 20”W
Signature paper for 3 sections that are cut 5.5”H x 8.5”W – computer paper cut in half horizontally is fine
Paper for Jig (heavier than text paper) 5.5”H (width does not matter)
- Awl
- Bone folder
- Box cutter/craft knife
- Cutting mat
- Needle
- Sharp pencil
- Straight edge/ruler
- Thread (studio has limited colors of waxed linen thread)

Study Group fee of $10.00 (payment may be made by cash or check the day of the meeting) covers the basic materials included in this project.
