GATHERING OF THE GUILDS

Thanks to everyone who helped make CBAS’s participation in Gathering of the Guilds on September 9 a big success. The weather was perfect, the festival was really well organized, and the crowds kept coming all day long. And best of all, we’ve already attracted new members and workshop attendees who came to the CBAS booth that day.

Karalyn Kavanaugh and Richard Albin coordinated the event for us: attending planning meetings, designing the layout of the booth, recruiting volunteers, making signs, uploading online exhibits to play on the day, prepping printed materials, choosing members’ work to exhibit, ordering table covers, hauling everything to the event and back, and then spending a very long day in the booth greeting visitors and promoting CBAS. We can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.

And thanks to Amy, Carolyn, Cecie, Judith, Jacqueline, Janice, Jo, Liz, Maria, Mel and Peg for prepping materials (including hundreds of fans) ahead of time, volunteering on the day of the event and introducing the hundreds of folks who stopped by to the world of book arts.

Congratulations to the Weavers Guild of Greater Cincinnati on their 75th anniversary and a terrific festival. We look forward to a repeat in the future.
