LEARNING JAPANESE PAPER ARTS FROM A MASTER

Fifteen members of the Cincinnati Book Arts Society and the Cincinnati Asian Art Society had a terrific time on October 28 learning the arts of suminagashi (Japanese marbling) and orizomegami (fold and dye) with master marbler and internationally recognized paper artist Diane Maurer-Mathison.

Many thanks to Peg Rhein for recommending Diane as a workshop presenter; providing housing, meals and transportation; and coordinating with the Cincinnati Asian Art Society to ensure Diane’s visit was a success.
